Design Commission + Process

Design commission for a friend including ideas discussed/considering during the process. The client wanted a demon character with the theme of animal bones, accented with a giant mane of fur and long, skinny limbs.

Final Design

Client wanted:
A) A squirrel skull
B) OR a cat skull
C) Clothing consisting of a loincloth, other animal skulls, and a row of vertebrae as the belt.
D) Three different considerations for feet design including insect-like hooves, long claws, or paws.

Cleaned-up lineart including the final design. Client decided on the squirrel skull and more paw-like feet.

Color scheme decisions: client wanted a scheme mainly of cooler brown-tones. Final choices marked by red circles.
